Abstract

Previous research indicated that the Salt Creek grape rootstock’Ramsey’is promising in the grape business, which is susceptible to climate variations, resulting in soil difficulties that limit grape growth. Ramsey can withstand salt and drought without reducing yield output. It has also high resistance to phylloxera and nematodes. from the other side cuttings of Ramsey face rooting difficulties while propagation. The aim of this study was to improve cuttings(intermediate and basal)traits of Ramsey via different cultural media (sand; sand: Peatmoss, 3:1 v/v; sand: biochar,3:0.5 v/v(Char1); sand: biochar, 3:1 v/v (Char2) and IBA concentration (0, 1000 and 2000 ppm).Cuttings performance were followed by measuring shoot length, shoot thickness, leaves number per shoot, leaf area, root length, number of root per cutting and root thickness.
