المستخلص The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a counseling program in modifying attitudes of special education female teachers towards children with Autism Disorder. The study sample consisted of (24) special education female teachers in The Autistic in the Ministry of Education, Hawalli Governorate in Kuwait divided into two equivalent groups: Experimental and control. Study instruments implied a Scale of attitudes of special education female teachers towards children with Autism Disorder and a counseling program (prepared by the researcher). The study results revealed statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental and control groups in the post test on the scale of special education female Teachers towards children with Autism Disorder in favor of the experimental group. The study results also revealed statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the pre and post tests on the scale of special education female teachers towards children with Autism Disorder in favor of the post test. Whereas The study results revealed no statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the post and follow up test on the scale of special education female teachers towards children with Autism Disorder. The results showed high effect size of the counseling program in modifying attitudes of special education female teachers towards children with Autism Disorder of the experimental group as well. The researcher recommended using the counseling program used in the present study for modifying attitudes of special education female teachers towards children with Autism Disorder. |
