Abstract
The high incidence of hepatitis C virus in Egypt was the impetus behind the approval of the Egyptian government to use one of the most effective combinations in a treatment program that should be taken for about a year but had many side effects and therefore the aim of our study was to contribute to the evaluation of molecular and cellular alteration Geneticsresulting from treatment with sovaldi and ribavirin in albino rats. The current study included four groups of experimental animals as follows:-The first group: is the control group.- The second group: a group that was given the drug mitomycin-C as acontrol positive group.( 2mg/kg once daily )-The third group: a group that was given a dose of sovaldi and
ribavirin.(sovaldi 41mg/kg once daily + ribavirin 41mg/kg twice daily)-The fourth group: the group that received a double dose of sovaldi and ribavirin.The animals were sacrificed ten days after receiving the first dose,leucocytes cytotoxicity, chromosomal aberrations, mitotic index , alkalinesingle cell gel electrophoresis (SCGE)/comet assay analysis,
