Abstract The main targets of this study are to study the structural setting, reservoir characterization of Nukhul Formation, and the hydrocarbon potentialities of the Rudeis Sidri field. These targets has been achieved by using many types of data in the study area such as composite logs, data well logs and geochemical data of 4 wells (Sidri-7,Sidri-9ST, Sidri-12 and Sidri-14). • Structures of the Gulf of Suez The interaction of these four major fault populations resulted in a Gulf of Suez complexly fractured into numerous fault blocks with variable throws and dimensions. All Neogene faults propagated upward from the crystalline basement through most of the overlying prerift and synrift strata. The tectonostratigraphic events during the development of the Gulf of Suez rift basin can be summarized as the following: |
