Abstract This thesis is entitled ’’The god Harpare in Ancient Egypt until the end of the Greco-Roman Period.’’ Horus-Re,”1r-Ra”, which means Horus sun-god or Harpare ’’the child’’, young sun god was mainly seen in Thebes in the late period and Greco-Roman era. The earliest written and pictorial sources for the god Harpare come from the reign of Cushitic ruler Taharqa 25th dynasty. Harpare ’’the child’’, the divine child of goddess Raettawy and god Montu, as he formed with them the traid at Armant and Medamoud. The Methodology of the research: The objective of this research is to collect and study the scenes of Harpare in temples and other different objects from Ancient Egypt until the end of Greaco-Roman period in order to better understand his forms, tittles, roles and his relation with other god. |
