Abstract Low-grade astrocytomas represent a heterogeneous group of primary brain tumors affecting young people. Diffuse low grade fibrillary astrocytomas are considered less aggressive glial neoplasm that characterized by contionous growth and unavoidable anaplastic transformation. The goals of treatment include achieving prolonged survival and reduced morbidity. Treatment strategies vary depending upon tumor histology, genetic mutations, anatomic location, age, and the general medical condition of the patient. |
