Summary

Frist: the study Problem
Playing is the primary link that helps develop social, emotional and cognitive skills in children, as well as the sensory systems in general. It is apparent that the ability for creativity and imagination becomes wider and more distinct. It can be said that playing as a tool could help children learning many social skills such as cooperation and commitment, social skills and practicing self-estimation skills Therefore, it is clear that the delay in the development of playing skills in children plays a role during different stages of life. It is apparent that playing supports the normal development of children’s skills. But in the case of children with autism spectrum disorders, this will not be the same as they sometimes show completely different pathways in their social skills development. Therefore, was necessary to identify the barriers facing social workers when they are using playing therapy in the development of social skills in children with autism spectrum disorder,
Second: The importance of the study
1- About one out of every 100 children suffers from autism (WHO, 2022).
2- Reports of the Autism Research Institute indicate that autism has begun to spread widely recently; It now affects 60 out of every 10,000 children aged 5-11 years, and this is a higher percentage than what was previously known, which is 5 out of every 10,000 children (Central Agency for Mobilization and Statistics, 2021).
3-There are few studies that have focused on the play therapy model in developing social skills in social work in general and specialization in particular (to the knowledge of the researcher).
4- What previous studies indicated about the existence of obstacles facing social workers during their practice of play therapy and thus contribute to enabling specialists professionally to perform their roles.
5- Providing the workers with play therapy in developing social skills for children with autism disorder, from specialists and workers in scientific research, with a proposed training program.
Third: the study objectives:-
The study seeks to achieve a main goal, which is: Identifying barriers facing social workers when they are to using play therapy in the development of social skills in children with autism spectrum disorder.
It is divided into a group of subsidiary aims as the following:-
1. Determining the child’s barriers in using play therapy to develop social skills in children with autism spectrum disorder .
2. Determining family-specific barriers in using play therapy to develop social skills in children with autism spectrum disorder.
3. Determining the social worker barriers in using play therapy to develop social skills in children with autism spectrum disorder.
4. Determining the institution’s barriers in using play therapy in develop social skills for children with autism spectrum disorder.
5. reaching to a training program for social workers in the use of play therapy to develop social skills in children with autism spectrum disorder.
Fourth:the study questions:-
The study questions were identified as follows:
The study seeks to answer the main question, which is ”the barriers facing social workers when they are using play therapy in the development of social skills in children with autism spectrum disorder.”
A number of sub-questions emerge from it:-
1. What are the child-specific barriers which facing the social worker in using play therapy to develop social skills for children with autism spectrum disorder?
2. What are the family-specific barriers which facing the social worker in using play therapy to develop social skills for children with autism spectrum disorder?
3. What are the barriers facing the social worker in using play therapy to develop social skills for children with autism spectrum disorder?
4. What are the institutional barriers which facing the social worker in using play therapy to develop social skills for children with autism spectrum disorder?
5. What is the proposed training program for social workers in using play therapy to develop social skills for children with autism spectrum disorder?

B- The Methods used:
In his study, the researcher used the social survey method, which is one of the main methods used in the descriptive research.
C - Study tools:
In this study, the researcher relied on a questionnaire for social worker who working in play therapy associations, centers and institutions in Assiut city.
D - Field of the study:
A- The human domain: The human domain in this study consists of a comprehensive inventory of (86) social workers working in play therapy associations, centers and institutions in Assiut city.
b- Spatial domain:
This study was applied at Assiut city.
c- Time domain:
This field study was conducted during the period from (29/9/2021) to (29/11/2021)

Eighth :The results of the general study
1. The results of the study showed that there are child-specific barriers when using play therapy to develop social skills for children with autism spectrum disorder d, at a rate of (78.84%).
2. The results of the study showed the existence of obstacles, especially the family, when using play therapy to develop social skills among children with autism spectrum disorder, at a rate of (75.19%).
3. The results of the study showed that there are special obstacles for the specialist when using play therapy to develop social skills for children with autism disorder spectrum disorder (68.36%).
4. The results of the study showed that there are obstacles specific to the institution when using play therapy to develop social skills for children with autism spectrum disorder, at a rate of (78.6%).
5. The study found a proposed training program for social workers when using play therapy to develop social skills for children with autism spectrum disorder.
