Abstract Nanomaterials are considered one of the most important additives that can be used to improve the properties of cement mortar and concrete, an important one of them is Graphene-oxide. The key to achieve the best performance of Graphene oxide with Cement concrete is to sustain a stable dispersion within the cement matrix and prevent its aggregation. To serve this purpose silica fume was used to optimize the dispersion of Graphene oxide and therefore improving its enhancing effect to the cement mortar and concrete. This thesis illustrates a study of the optimum ratios of silica fume with Graphene oxide to optimize its dispersion and thus improving its performance in enhancing the mechanical properties of concrete.
