Abstract Despite increased awareness of hospital-acquired infection, and efforts to reduce its occurrence, the incidence continues to increase. It has been estimated that between 4% and 10% of hospitalized patients will become infected, particularly after entering the operation room or intensive care unit, Between 2020 and 2021 ,an estimated 53,700 of these Hospital - acquired infection were surgical site infections are now considered to be the most common and costly , adding approximately 7 to 11 days to the expected post-surgical hospital stay and increasing perioperative morbidity and mortality( Miller JD, Bobo H ,Kapp JP, 2015). During the period from 2018-2019 60 Patients were admitted to the traumatic intensive care unit at Assiut university hospital with intracranial pressure monitoring by using a Micro transducer catheter.(Hospital record of traumatic intensive care unit ,2019).. |
