The study aimed to clarify leadership skills for students of Sohag University to achieve competitive advantage, to monitor the reality of Sohag University’s role in developing leadership skills for its students to achieve competitive advantage from the viewpoint of the study sample, and to develop a proposed conception to improve the role of Sohag University in developing leadership skills among its students to achieve competitive advantage
The study relied on the descriptive approach, and used the study tool (questionnaire) that was directed to a sample of students in some colleges of Sohag University, to find out the reality of Sohag University’s role in developing leadership skills among its students to achieve competitive advantage.
The study reached some results, the most important of which are:
A- The existence of many obstacles to the role of Sohag University in developing the leadership skills of its students
B- The weakness of Sohag University’s role in developing the decision-making skill of its students.
C- The role of Sohag University in developing the skill of creativity and innovation, and developing the skill of responsibility and accountability among its students, which came with a medium degree.
D- The ranking of college students in acquiring skills came in favor of students of the College of Education, then Arts, and students of the College of Science came in last place.
