Abstract This research was conductedtodetermine thenutritional status, anthropometric measurements and some chemical analyzes of pregnant women with anemia. This research was conductedon 60 pregnantwomen.Their ages ranged between 19-45 years. This study was conducted at El Minufiya university, in Shebin El-Kom city. The nutritionalstatusofpatientswasdetermined by anthropometricevaluation questionnaire,socio-economiccondition assessmentquestionnaire, health condition assessment questionnaire, dietary habits assessment questionnaire and 24-hourdietary record questionnairefor a week.Body composition wasanalyzed by body mass index was calculated. The Nutrient Data Base (DRI) programwas used to evaluate the energy and nutrient intakes of patients and compared with Dietary Reference Intakes recommendations. Blood samples were collected and C.B.C profile, serum iron and ferritinwere analyzed. Using statistical analysis of the data analysis was conducted test (T.test) to test the statistical significance to assess the factors that affecting on the pregnant women with anemia and physical health. have been using the level of statistical significance when (P<0.05).The resultsshowed thatpregnant women with anemia suffer from a deficiency of iron and hemoglobin. Most of the cases in this study have never been pregnant and suffer from somediseasessuch ashigh blood pressure. Most of the cases eat three mealsand are interested in eating fruit and walking, but they do not care about breakfast and milk. |
