Abstract
Acyclovir is a guanine derivative which used as a synthetic antiviral drug for Herpes simplex, Varicella zoster and herpes encephalitis by inhibiting viral DNA replication effectively much more than cellular DNA replication.
Ginger has been used in traditional medicine to aid digestion and nausea and vomiting. it is also effective in heart diseases and cancer and it also has anti-viral effect. The active components of the ginger root are the volatile oils and pungent phenol compounds
The current study was conducted to evaluate the possible ameliorative effect of ginger on acyclovir induced male fertility adverse effects in rats.
