Abstract Ectopic pregnancy is one of common causes of maternal morbidity and mortality. Even today, it results in about 6% of pregnancy-associated mortality .Ectopic pregnancy can often be diagnosed before patient condition is deteriorated, so changed into a more benign condition. Previous tubal surgery and previous ectopic pregnancy are the most important risk factors for ectopic pregnancy. Diagnostic trans-vaginal ultrasound and level of HCG are the cornerstone of diagnosis. Ectopic pregnancy (95%) usually occurs in the fallopian tube. It has changed into a more benign condition in women who are frequently asymptomatic or show mild clinical picture such as vaginal bleeding and/or slight abdominal discomfort. |
