This part deals with a summary of the research in terms of identifying the research problem, its study plan and the results that have been reached, then the recommendations and proposed research, as follows:
First: Identifying the research problem and its study plan.
The problem of the current research was identified in the weakness of the tourist concepts of the kindergarten child, and the lack of enjoyment of learning, and the current research tried to overcome this problem by proposing a program based on the use of the virtual museum to develop tourism concepts and enjoyment of learning for the kindergarten child.
Research questions:
The current research attempted to answer the following questions:
1) What are the necessary tourism concepts for a child at the second level of kindergarten?
2) What are the dimensions of enjoyment of learning necessary for a child at the second level of kindergarten?
3) What are the foundations for building the suggested program based on the use of the virtual museum in developing tourism concepts and enjoyment of learning for a child of the second level in kindergarten?
4) What are the components of the suggested program based on the use of the virtual museum in developing tourism concepts and the enjoyment of learning for a child at the second level in kindergarten?
5) What is the effectiveness of implementing a suggested program based on the use of the virtual museum in developing tourism concepts of the kindergarten child?
6) What is the effectiveness of implementing a proposed program based on the use of the virtual museum in developing the enjoyment of learning?
Research hypotheses:
The current research sought to test the extent to which the following hypotheses: are verified
• There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the children in the experimental group in the pre and post application of pictorial test of tourism concepts in favor of the post-application.
• There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the children in the experimental group in the pre and post application of the pictorial scale of enjoyment learning in favor of the post-application.
• There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the children of the experimental group in the pre and post application of a note card of enjoyment of learning in favor of the post-application.
• There is effectiveness of the suggested program-based on virtual museum in developing tourism concepts and enjoyment of learning among kindergarten child at the second level.
Research objectives:
The aim of the current research is to develop the concepts of tourism and the enjoyment of learning among the kindergarten children by suggesting a program based on the use of the virtual museum.
Research importance:
The research may benefit -through the suggested program based on the use of the virtual museum – the followings:
1) Kindergarten child:
This suggested program based on the use of virtual museum help to develop some tourism concepts and enjoyment of learning for kindergarten children.
kindergarten teachers:
2) The research presents a teacher’s guide about how to develop some concepts of tourism and enjoyment of learning by using the virtual museum.
3) Kindergarten teachers:
The current research may benefit them in the use of tourist concepts’ test and enjoyment of learning scale to evaluate the kindergarten child.
4) Planners and developers of programs and curricula of kindergarten:
The research may draw their attention to the use of virtual museum and other virtual learning environments in the teaching and developing many concepts and topics.
5) Planners and developers of programs and curricula of kindergarten:
they can benefit from the research tools, materials and results in planning curricula and programs of child.
6) Officials at the ministry of education:
The research may direct their attention to the training of kindergarten teachers to use the virtual museum in the development of concepts and enjoyment of learning of the kindergarten child.
7) Researchers:
This research is expected to open good areas for researchers to do similar research in the field of suggesting programs based on virtual museums, and research to suggest the impact of programs on the list of virtual museum concepts and other emotional aspects of the development of kindergarten children.
8) Researchers:
The current research offers them a pictorial test of tourism concepts and a pictorial scale of the enjoyment of learning to guide them when doing similar studies.
Research limitations:
the limitations of the research may be the follows:
- Time limitations:
The application of the research experience was carried out in the second semester of the year 2021-2022.
- Spatial limitations:
The research experience has been applied to a group of children at the second level (5-6) years at kindergarten of ”Al-zohoor” in Sohag.
- Human limitations:
The research group consisted of a group of kindergarten children at the second level of kindergarten of ”AL-zohoor” in Sohag, the number of them is ” 35 children”.
The objective limitations:
The suggested program was limited to the use of the virtual museum in order to suit the children according to their levels and abilities.
The suggested program was limited to the following tourism concepts: (tourism, tourist, tourist area, internal tourism, external tourism, cultural tourism, eco-tourism, religious tourism, sports tourism, leisure tourism, tourism, human tourism, economic tourism, types of tourism, economic tourism, Tourist accommodation, tourist transport, tourist guide, tourist guide, archaeological and historical sites, religious monuments, national affiliation, hospitality and generosity, tolerance and peace.(
The proposed program was limited to the dimensions of enjoyment of learning, which are represented in the following: the cognitive component, the psychomotor component, and the emotional component.
Teaching materials and research tools:
Teaching materials:
1) A list of the necessary tourist concepts for a child of the second level of kindergarten.
2) A list of the dimensions of enjoyment of learning necessary for a child at the second level of kindergarten.
3) A proposed program based on the use of the virtual museum.
4) The kindergarten teacher’s guide on how to implement the program’s topics using the virtual museum.
Research tools:
1) An electronic pictorial test of tourism concepts for the child at the second level of kindergarten.
2) An electronic pictorial scale of enjoyment of learning of the child at the second level of kindergarten.
3) A note card for the enjoyment of learning at the second level from kindergarten through the note parameter.
Research Methodology:
The research used the one-group quasi-experimental approach, for the design of a pre- and post-treatment measurement of the research tools.
Research Variables:
1) independent variable:
a proposed program based on the use of the virtual museum.
2) dependent variables:
• Tourism concepts.
• enjoyment of learning.
Research Procedures:
To answer research questions and test the validity of its hypotheses the researcher followed the following steps:
First, the theoretical part:
• The theoretical framework of the research includes:
• Virtual museum: its definition, importance, objectives, characteristics, types, advantages, challenges, educational theory underlying the virtual museum, interaction techniques in virtual learning environments (virtual museums) the kindergarten child, the general principles to deal through the museum, the virtual museum of the kindergarten child.
• Tourism terms: the definition of the concept, its nature and importance of learning it , growth of concepts of kindergarten child, functions of concepts, their types, characteristics, formation, theories which focused on the development and the formation of concepts at the kindergarten child, factors affecting the formation of concepts when kindergarten child, the timing and how the child’s ability to form the kindergarten concept, founded the concept of education for kindergarten children, the definition of tourism concepts and the importance of learning, the virtual museum and the development of tourism concepts that kindergarten child have .
• Enjoyment of learning in terms of: its definition, importance, components, methods of measuring it, the means of achieving it for the kindergarten child, pillars on which it is based, its characteristics, objectives, roles of the teacher to achieve enjoyment of learning, the virtual museum and development of the kindergarten child.
Second, the practical side includes:
1) Preparation of research materials, and tools, including:
• Identifying a list of concepts of tourism and its development of the second level kindergarten child.
• A list of the dimensions of enjoyment of learning for a child at the second level of kindergarten.
• Preparing the suggested program based on the use of the virtual museum.
• A teacher guide on how to implement the suggested program topics using virtual museum.
• An electronic pictorial test of tourism concepts for the child at the second level of kindergarten.
• An electronic pictorial scale of enjoyment of learning of the child at the second level of kindergarten.
• A note card for the enjoyment of learning at the second level from kindergarten through the teacher’s observation.
2) Materials and research tools were given to the jury in their initial form, and the researcher made the necessary modifications to reach the final form.
3) Exploratory application of the research tools on the experimental group of kindergarten children to adjust the tools used statistically, and to determine the suitability of the application of the children at the second level of the kindergarten.
4) Choosing the research group from kindergarten children at the second level from ”Al-zohoor private nursery” in Sohag in 2022 and the number of the children is (35).
5) Implementation of the search experience according to the following steps:
• Pre-application of the which are; an electronic pictorial test of tourism concepts, an electronic pictorial scale of enjoyment of learning, a note card for the enjoyment of learning.
• Application of the prepared program for the research group according to the use of the virtual museum.
• Post application of research tools which are; an electronic pictorial test of tourism concepts, an electronic pictorial scale of enjoyment of learning, a note card for the enjoyment of learning.
6) Correction and monitoring grades and conduct statistical treatments and access to the research results.
7) Analysis of the results and their interpretation in the light of the hypotheses and research questions.
8) Provide appropriate recommendations and proposals in the light of the current research results.
Second: Research Results
were reached Through the experimental study to the following results
1) There is a statistically significant difference at the level (0.01) between the mean scores of the children of the second level (research group) before and after studying the suggested program in the pictorial test of tourism concepts in favor of the post-application.
2) There is a statistically significant difference at the level (0.01) between the mean scores of the children of the second level (research group) before and after studying the suggested program in the pictorial scale of enjoyment learning in favor of the post-application.
3) There is a statistically significant difference at the level (0.01) between the mean scores of the children of the second level (research group) before and after studying the suggested program note card of enjoyment of learning in favor of the post-application.
Third: Research Recommendations
In light of the outcomes of the results of this research, the researcher recommends the followings:
1-Recommendation for Kindergarten Curricula:
1. - the use of orientation in terms of teaching methods that rely on e-learning environments, such as the use virtual museum to acquire tourist concepts and enjoy learning.
2. Using of the proposed program based on the use of the virtual museum and the teacher’s guide to the Public Administration for kindergartens at the office of the Ministry of Education to ask to use in the development of tourism concepts for kindergarten children; Because it has become necessary to give kindergarten children the concepts of tourist to have a tourist consciousness that makes him conscious of his own civilization, its history and to be proud of it, and to achieve their learning enjoyment.
3. Paying attention to employing virtual museums in all stages of education in general, and the stage of kindergartens in particular.
4. Experimenting other types of museums such as the mobile museum, or the bag in the development of tourist museum concepts and enjoy learning in kindergarten and beyond the stages.
5. Paying attention and not to marginalize tourist’s concepts in the school curricula for kindergarten.
6. Paying attention to the development of tourism concepts among kindergarten children, using strategies and modern technological learning resources.
7. Including dimensions of learning enjoyment within the education aims of tourism concepts for kindergarten children.
8. Using of a list of tourist concepts, and a list of dimensions of learning enjoyment that have been prepared when teaching children.
9. Taking advantage of the tools that were prepared in this research when teaching children and training on tourism concepts and learning enjoyment.
2- Recommendation for Kindergarten teachers:
- Holding training courses for kindergarten teachers on how to design virtual museums to use in children’s teaching.
- Holding training courses for parents of children; to train them on the development of tourism concepts and caring for achieving learning enjoyment for their children.
-Holding training courses for kindergarten teachers on how to develop tourism concepts and enjoyment of learning using technological innovations such as: the virtual museum.
- Preparing and organizing workshops and programs for supervisors and a training kindergarten teacher during the service in coordination with the Ministry of Education, academic and professional teachers, ensuring the continued professional growth of kindergarten teachers according to modern educational trends.
3- Recommendation for Kindergarten Activities:
• Focusing on the means of evaluating emotional aspects, such as learning enjoyment of kindergarten child and not only the cognitive and psychomotor aspects.
• training children to use technological learning sources, such as: the virtual museum in order to achieve effective learning and help them to keep pace with of the nature of the era, the era of digitalization commensurate with their attitudes and preferences of different abilities.
• The Ministry of Education should adopt the production of virtual museums and other virtual environments, to be used in kindergartens under the supervision and care specialists in learning techniques; To conform to museums and virtual learning environments with a good level of standards.
4- Recommendation for Children’s Learning Assessment:
- Taking advantage of the suggested teaching program, and put it into practice; To help kindergarten children get the tourism concepts and achieve enjoyment of learning.
Fourth, proposed research:
This research offers a range of proposals for another research, including:
• The effect of using Program proposal based on the use of the virtual museum concepts in tourism development in children with special needs.
• The Effectiveness of Program proposal based on the use of the virtual museum for the development of biological concepts of the kindergarten child.
• The effectiveness of a training program for kindergarten teachers in the development of some design skills and production of virtual museums for use with kindergarten children.
• the effectiveness of the use of the virtual museum in the imagination of the development of kindergarten children.
• the effectiveness of the proposed program based on the use of the virtual museum on the other emotional aspects of the kindergarten child, such as :( tilt, direction, and motivation to learn, ....).
• Program proposal based on the use of the virtual museum in the development of self-learning skills of kindergarten children.
