Abstract β-lactam antibiotics group is one of the most widely used class of antibiotics. It suffers from lack of stability and low extractability, due to their high hydrophilicity. Therefor, in the presented thesis, we aimed to improve extraction and determination of some selected β-lactam antibiotics in different matrices (milk, plasma, and dosageform), utilizing high performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC) as an analytical technique, with Hydrophilic-interaction separation and uv-detection, modefied QuEChERS extraction method, and newly develped d-SPME method, improve extraction of investigated β-lactam containing antibiotics (amoxicillin, ampicillin, cefoperazone, and cefalexin) with cost effective procedure. The investigated β-lactam antibiotics were determined indivedually or in mixtures with β-lactamase inhibitores (clavulanic acid and sulbactam). |
