Abstract

The conventional melt-quenched technique under controlled conditions has been used to prepare alaser protection filter of ahomogeneous glass samples wiyh different compositions 40p2o5- (21-x)Na20-38Zno-xco3o4-1CuO where (x=1,2,3,4 and 5). X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique has been used to investigate the amorphous nature of the prepared glass samples. Densities of the prepared glassy samples were determined at room temperature by simple Archimedes method using toluene as the immersing liquid.
