Abstract

”This study aims to examine the mediating role of organizational justice in the relationship between ethical leadership and organizational cynicism. A questionnaire is designed and data were collected from 325 employees at the Egyptian Tax Authority in Dakahlia Governorate. To achieve the research’s goal, the researcher used SPSS V. 25 program to extract the results of the descriptive statistics. In addition, partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was utilized to test the research hypotheses through Smart PLS version 3. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are : The presence of a statistically significant effect of ethical leadership dimensions (morality, compassion, ethical envisioning, ethical empowerment, managing ethics) on the employee’s organizational cynicism when organizational justice is mediated. In light of the results of the study, the researcher presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which are : 1. An ethical code of conduct must be written and presented to every employee within the authority in order to provide a clear vision of integrity and help them solve ethical dilemmas. 2. Taking into account the achievement of fairness in the distribution of wages or rewards among employees. 3. Clear and objective procedures must be followed when implementing decisions regarding reward allocation and employee performance appraisal 4. Opening channels of communication between management and employees to create a good work environment and stronger social ties between supervisors/managers and their subordinates that will lead to decrease the Organizational cynicism levels.
