Abstract The nurse interns (NIs) required utilizing the necessary clinical and practical experience to consolidate professional nursing knowledge and skills in providing quality nursing care to patients with a variety of health problems. Nursing internship period act as guide for the interns during their training, in different clinical area rotation. They became more oriented about objectives for each unit, policies, rules, clinical forms and care procedures of each specific unit. That clinical training provides opportunity for the NIs in their last year to reinforce and integrate skills and theoretical knowledge (1). They practice what have been learned in the classroom, guide experience with gradual increase in the responsibility to make the newly graduate to be a self-assured practitioner. Beside the unique opportunity for professional and personal development, gain a greater understanding of the organization requirements, test career choices, and develop important hands-on workplace skills(2). |
