Abstract Aim: to evaluate bone gain and primary stability of implant in closed sinus lifting cases by Densah bur in comparsion to Osteotome with simultaneous implant placement in partially edentulous patients Methodology : Twenty-nine candidates (11 males, 18 females), suffering from non-restorable posterior maxillary alveolar ridge and seeking implant rehabilitation .patientswere divided randomly into 2 groups. The control group (osteotome group) was and the test group (Densah bur group) was Densah bur graftlessclosed sinus lift with simultaneous implant placement. The newly formed bone was measured by used CBCT measurements while primary and secondary stability were measuredby Osstell device. Results: The results revealed thatDensah bur group had more bone gain than the osteotomegroup whichwas statistically significant. But no significant difference between two groups regarding primary and secondary stability Conclusion: The use of Densah bur for crestal sinus floor elevation allows simple, safe, predictable and minimally invasive approach compared to Summersosteotome for crestal sinus floor elevation. In addition, significant bone gains higher than osteotomecrestal sinus floor elevation |
