Abstract Corticosteroids are steroid hormones that are either produced by the body or are man-made. Synthetic corticosteroids mimic the actions of naturally occurring corticosteroids and may be used to replace corticosteroids in people with adrenal glands that are unable to produce adequate amounts of corticosteroids, however, they more often are used in higher-than-replacement doses to treat diseases of immunity, inflammation or salt and water balance. Corticosteroids may be used topically in eyes inflammation treatment; eye drops as Fluorometholone and Prednisolone acetate, may also be used in skin diseases accompanying with inflammatory disorders as Triamcinolone acetonide, and systemically to treat inflammation and to alter immune system as Deflazacort. In this work, four corticosteroids were proposed as three binary mixtures each with its co-formulated drugs and one single corticosteroid was used. Stability- indicating separation techniques (HPTLC and HPLC) for determination of Fluormetholone/Sodium Cromoglyate, Triamcinoloe acetonide/Econazole nitrate and Prednisolone acetate/Moxifloxacin HCl binary mixtures. Stability-indicating spectrofluorimetric techniques; synchronous fluorescence (SFS) and the first derivative (1D) of enhanced fluorescence for determination of Fluormetholone/Sodium Cromoglyate and Prednisolone acetate/Moxifloxacin HCl binary mixtures, respectively. Electrochemical techniques namely, nano- voltammetry and ion selective potentiometry were produced for Deflazacort determination |
