Abstract WON-C Field is located in Beni Suef area, in the northern part of the Western Desert, Egypt. It was discovered in 2011 through drilling well WONC- 1X. The field lies in the Old Nile Valley, where the Old Nile is cutting through the shallow horizons, and the marginal channel then filled with accumulations of the eroded sediments (the ancestral Nile fills), these fills mask the below amplitudes and frequencies of deeper horizons including the reservoir. The challenge was to use the 3D volume, to study the hydrocarbon habitat of the block. ARG Member is the main reservoir, seismic attributes (Post- Stack), where applied, including; Variance, RMS amplitude, Trace Envelope, for the amplitude domain change, Spectral Decomposition for the frequency domain change, interval velocity change for the abrupt change in the velocity. The integration between results from structural attributes and tectonic history of the western desert helped to understand the structural elements and its relation to hydrocarbon habitat for more exploration and development opportunities for the block |
