Abstract Three novel Schiff bases of (L¹), (H₂L²), (H₄L³) and their complexes with Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) ions were prepared and subjected to many analytical techniques such as elemental analyses, mass spectroscopy, IR, 1H NMR, solid reflectance spectra, magnetic moment, molar conductance, thermal analyses techniques (TG and DTG), BET surface area, SEM, XRD were studied to throw more light on the nature of changes accompanying the thermal decomposition process of these complexes. Also some theoretical studies like DFT calculations and molecular docking were studied. The biological activity (antimicrobial and anti-breast cancer activity) of the Schiff base ligands and their complexes were also screened |
