Abstract

This study included 63 female metastatic triple negative breast cancer patients with mean age 48 years, Thirty two patients were premenopausal and 31 were postmenopausal. Most of our patients were from Great Cairo 48. Family history was positive in only 8 patients. The majority of cases (61) were presented with mass only. Most of our cases had Infiltrating Duct Carcinoma (IDC) 60 patients, Invasive lobular carcinoma in one case, Invasive Tubular carcinoma in one patient, Mucinous carcinoma in a patient. The median size of breast mass was five. N-stage of patients were as following: N0 (9.5%), N1 in (22.2%), N2 in (33.3%) and N3 in (31.7%) of patients. Pathological grades of tumor cells were II in 42 of cases and III in 21 of cases. The commonest sites of metastasis in our patients were lung in 40 (63.5%), bone 21 (33.3%), liver 18 (28.6%) and brain 9 (14.3%). Some patients presented by more than one site of metastasis. Surgical procedures were done for 50 patients, majority of them 44 did Modified Radical Mastectomy (MRM) and 6 patients did Breast Conserving Surgery (BCS).Regarding chemotherapy in our study 24 patients received neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Some of them complete all their chemotherapy before operations, others divided before and postoperative. Forty two patients received adjuvant chemotherapy. Fourteen patients were metastatic from start. All our patients which received neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy became metastatic later on
