Abstract

The aim of the study was to compare the clinical outcomes between both groups described in AOFAS score. The management of ankle fractures should be approached in a systemic way understanding the fracture pattern, mechanism of injury and fracture fixation principles. from January 2018 to September 2020, a case control clinical study was done on patients with acute syndesmosis injuries, 40 patients with acute syndesmosis injuries were treated by using either static or dynamic fixation. The age range was from 23 to 55 years. All patients followed the same post {u2013}operative course and rehabitation program. All patients were evaluated for functional outcomes by using AOFAS score at three and six months
