Abstract
This study aimed at comparing between the effect of primary PCI & pharmacoinvasive technique on the Left ventricular function during inhospital
stay and after three months follow up.left ventricular systolic function was assessed by 2-D echocardiography and tissue Doppler at cardiology department, Tanta University.The study was conducted on 150 patients that were divided into 2
groups. group 1 consisted of 96 patients that had primary PCI as reperfusion
therapy & group 2 consisted of 54 patients that had thrombolytic therapy
(Streptokinase) followed by coronary angiography with possibility for PCI. In the second group, coronary angiography was done immediately for cases of failed thrombolysis and for the rest of cases; coronary angiography was
.performed within 3–24 hrs
