Abstract Iliopsoas syndrome can be present alone, or associated to FAI, after THR and other pathologies. Failure in diagnosing and treating this condition may be the reason for poor results and a revision surgery. Arthroscopic iliopsoas tendon release seems to produce good clinical outcome, reducing pain and the rate of a revision surgeries. Arthroscopic release of the iliopsoas tendon is a procedure that will avoid the complications of open procedures and provide long-term relief from painful snapping of the tendon.
