Abstract

The Cucurbitaceae family possesses economically important species including cucumber. Cucumber (Cucumis sativus Linn.) is the fourth most important vegetable worldwide .Cucumber has a place in their diet; as ingredients of salads, as pickles or fresh. Epidemiological and nutritional studies indicate that cucumbers fruit which located under the cucurbitaceae family have numerous benefits internally, externally and even emotionally. As a food, cucumbers offer superior hydration, as they about 95% water. They have been used for decades for their anti-inflammatory benefits on skin, soothing properties for digestion, and other therapeutic uses. The following contribution offers an overview of cucumber, specifically, their use to augment cellular water and address common conditions (i.e.: skin discoloration and aging, cardiovascular and cancerous diseases, bone health. This crop faces several difficulties, which challenge its quantity and quality. The white fly, Bemisia tabaci (Genn.), the Thrips, Thrips tabaci (lind.) and the two spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae. Acari: Tetranychidae). The present work was conducted at EL- Gamalia village –EL Husinia district , Sharkia Governorate, Egypt, at private farm , the field experimental was conducted during two successive summer seasons 2017 and 2018 , respectively. Therefore, the objective of the present study was to investigate the following aspects:-
1- Efficiency of abamectin alone or in binary mixtures with mineral oil and fertilizer against spider mite.
2- Effect of abamectin applied either alone or in binary mixtures with mineral oil and fertilizer on yield of cucumber.
3- Effect of adding mineral oil and fertilizer on physico- chemical properties of abamectin.
4- Residues determination of abamectin alone and binary mixtures with mineral oil and fertilizer in cucumber fruits.
1. Efficiency of abamectin alone or in binary mixture with mineral oil and fertilizer against cucumber Spider Mite, T. Urticae individuals, Koch during 2017 summer season.
The results of statistical analysis shows there were significant differences between each treatment. In case of initial and residual effect. Data indicate that the first spray results on spider mite populations between untreated control in one side and abamectin alone and with additives treatments in other side. The initial effect and residual effect, divided into five groups according to statistical analysis. Especially initial effect, the first group include mineral oil recorded 3 individuals, the second group mineral oil and fertilizer recorded 2.7 individuals, the third group, abamectin with fertilizer 2.3 individuals, while the fourth group include abamectin, abamectin with oil (2.0 & 2.0 individuals), but the fifth group include fertilizer and control whereas recorded 1.7 and 1.6 individuals, respectively. On the other hand, the residual effect, the individual of T.urticae were descendingly order as follows 4.63, 4.26, 4.2, 3.57, 3.33, 3.26 and 3.23 individuals with control, abamectin, abamectin with fertilizer, abamectin with mineral oil, mineral oil, mineral oil with fertilizer and fertilizer respectively.
