Abstract

The problem of the present research was the weakness of 10th grade high school ‎students in EFL creative reading skill. So, this present research aimed at investigating the effectiveness of a mobile learning based program in developing some EFL creative reading skills among high school students in Kuwait. The participants of the research were sixty four10th grade females high school students enrolled in Mansouriya, Yarmouk, Algeria, and Corttoba high schools for girlsat the state of Kuwait. They were assigned to two groups; experimental and control, 32 participants each. The instrument of the current research was an EFL creative reading test. The EFL creative reading test was administered before and after the implementation of the program. The results revealed that EFL creative reading skills were developed after the mobile learning based program. Therefore, it was concluded that the mobile leaning based program was effective in developing EFL creative reading skill among high school students in Kuwait. It was recommended to take the advantage of the mobile learning- based program presented in the current research, and generalize its application in secondary schools in the State of Kuwait as an effective program for developing EFL creative reading skills for high school students.
