Abstract Some Petrophysical parameters of the formations have a high impact on the evolution and production of the original hydrocarbon in place. With availability of laboratory measurements, these parameters are properly constrained. This study presents how to derive reservoir parameters from core and well-log data as an integrated approach in shaly sand mixtures of Abu Madi formation, sand stone reservoir in El Wastani field, Nile Delta, Egypt. This method based on correlation and matches the data of core and log, by linear and non-linear regressions and then they are used to build respective relationships between core and log data to determine formation parameters such as effective porosity, shale volume, permeability and fluid saturation.Abu madi reservoir (upper messinian) present a challenge in the evaluation of their effective gas saturation and their production in onshore of Nile Delta exploration, development & production, through recognition and understanding of the reservoir distributions and sand delineation during the exploration and development phase. The key to build reservoir model and define hydrocarbon potential through accurate predict of reservoir properties and dynamic flow capacity by estimate porosity, water saturation and permeability |
