Abstract

This thesis is concerned with the analysis of tertiary amines drugs: antihypertensive drugs namely: IRB, LOS, VAL and LSP, and antibacterial: CFX and CFP. The thesis comprises four parts describing the literature review, the experimental work, in addition to the references and an Arabic summary. Part I: General Introduction & Literature Review Part II: High Performance Liquid chromatographic Methods This part consists of three sections: Section A: Stability indicating method for determination of Losartan using RP-HPLC method Section B: Stability indicating method for determination of Valsartan using RP-HPLC Section C: Simultaneous determination of Losartan, Atorvastatin and Hydrochlorothiazide by RP-HPLC method and quantitative application to polypill based synthetic ternary mixture Part III: UV- Spectrophotometric Methods This part consists of two sections: Section A: Ratio difference spectrophotometric method for determination of Valsartan and Hydrochlorothiazide in their pure forms and combined dosage form Section B: First derivative ratio spectra spectrophotometric method for determination of Valsartan and Hydrochlorothiazide in their pure forms and combined dosage form PART IV: Colorimetric Methods This part consists of three sections: Section A: Colorimetric determination and evaluation of reducing properties for Irbesartan, Valsartan and Lisinopril using ferric ion Section B: Clorimetric determination and evaluation of reducing properties for Cefixime and Cefporzil using ferric ion Section C: Comparative study of reducing properties of some Antihypertensive and Antibacterial drugs
