Abstract
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed malignant tumor and the second leading cause of cancer-associated mortality among women in the world. It accounts for " ~ "25% of all female malignancies and its prevalence is higher in developed countries. Risk factors for breast cancer include early menarche; late menopause, and family history. Women with the family history of breast cancer have 25 percent chance of developing this malignancy. While the mutations in the BRCA-1 and BRCA-2 genes account for only 6 percent of inherited breast cancer cases, BRCA-1 carriers have 36–56% lifetime risk of developing breast cancer.
