Abstract

Glass ceramic, CAD/CAM, thickness difference, color. Purpose: To evaluate the influence of thickness difference on the color change of contemporary CAD CAM glass-ceramic materials. Materials and methods: The specimens were square in shape and their dimension was 10 mm length, 10 mm width and three difference thicknesses (0.7, 1, 1.2mm). 63 discs of monolithic glass ceramic of shade Bl 2 were sawed by using linear precision saw (Isomet saw 5000). Specimens were divided into 3 main groups according to ceramic materials (21 each): group I: IPS Emax CAD, group II: IPS Empress CAD, group III: Celtra Duo CAD. Each main group was further subdivided into 3 subgroups according to different thickness (7 each). Specimens was finished according to its material manufacturer.
