an introduction:
Folk literature and the folk arts and literature it carries express life, including its joys and sorrows, without lying or hypocrisy. Folk literature, then, leads to social functions, the most important of which is the formation and creation of emotional and behavioral templates that help society maintain its cohesion, and performs the function of education; It also helps to solve many of our literary and artistic problems, and we cannot advance our morals unless we search for our folklore, and benefit from the history of our ancestors, and the precious jewels that are covered by ashes. Our educational system. The folk song and the mawwal are one of the main pillars of popular literature, as they preserve the customs, traditions and beliefs of the popular group; This is to pass them on from generation to generation, carrying with them this huge amount of cultural heritage of the popular group through time.
They also constitute a basis for representation and consideration, by overcoming its negatives and adopting its positives in formulating a new compound that serves the existing educational system. It is a work based on a good understanding of folkloric songs, the mawwal, their types, components, and their aesthetic and ethical standards, and seeking to employ them in the educational system; In order to contribute to building a more beautiful and more welcoming human life through a humanist tendency to get out of limited experience to be consistent with other experiences in an objective view, without the complexes of superiority or inferiority and dependence.
the study Problem:
The problem of the study is determined by the main question: What are the educational contents included in the folk song and the mawwal in Sohag Governorate, and how can it be employed in education?
from this main question, the following sub-questions are derived:
1) What are the educational contents of folk songs and mawwail in Sohag Governorate?
2) What are the most important folk songs and mawwals in Sohag Governorate? What are the areas of popular literature and its types and educational importance?
3) What are the most important educational contents dealt with Al-Sirah Al-Hilali as a model of the popular money?
4) What is the proposed scenario for benefiting from the educational contents included in popular songs and mawwals, and employing them in modern education?
Objectives of the study:
The current study aimed to:
1) Recognize the features that distinguish popular songs and the extent to which they are affected.
2) Identifying ways for the learner to acquire the educational contents inherent in popular literature through curricula and activities to present the experiences of the former in a manner appropriate to the recipient.
3) To identify the most important educational contents inherent in the folklore; To extract and elicit the educational values contained therein.
4) To identify the most important educational contents inherent in the biography of Al-Hilali; To extract and elicit the educational values contained therein.
5) Develop a proposed conception of the most important educational contents included in folk songs and mawwals, and their use in modern education.
the importance of studying:
Through the foregoing, the importance of the study unites in the following points:
1) This study contributes to revealing the educational contents of the popular songs and the common mawwals in Sohag governorate. To consolidate the positive side and eliminate the negative sides.
2) Preserving the folklore found in Sohag Governorate from extinction and extinction, especially since its knowledge is limited to a certain group of elderly people in some villages and hamlets of the governorate.
3) This study sheds light on the educational contents that appear through behaviors and affect, in one way or another, the upbringing of young people.
4) The current study emphasizes the importance of educational folk literature in influencing the personality of the individual within the Egyptian rural community.
5) The researcher has studied and analyzed popular songs and mawwal, which is an important topic through which the basic educational issues in the culture of this society are identified.
6) This study contributes to enriching the discussion and debate surrounding folk songs and mawwal, and their relationship to education in an attempt to crystallize the literary foundations of education, considering folk songs and mawwal as an educational tributary in terms of influencing the values, feelings and tastes of the recipient. Therefore, it is difficult to ignore their role in building young people.
The limits of the study:
Objective limits: the study was limited to a sample of folk and mawwail songs in Sohag Governorate. - Spatial boundaries: the study was limited to some centers and villages of Sohag Governorate, namely: (Nasser City - Akhmim - Al Khalwa - Al Hawaweesh - Maragha - Gerga), through which the popular songs were collected.
Study Approach: The ”ethnographic approach” was used in this study, which relies on the processes of listening and seeing through observation, living and sharing. The researcher collected popular songs in audio recordings from the mouths of popular narrators.
It also used: the ”descriptive approach”, which is based on the method of ”content analysis qualitatively”, in order to analyze, describe and interpret the research sample of popular songs and mawwals to reach the results.
The method of philosophical analysis:
with its two parts (inductive and deductive), through which folk songs and mawwals are analyzed and educational thought elicited from them, and how to benefit from it in developing educational ideas in the contemporary time.
Study tools:
A. Note: Direct is a means of collecting data and information from the research community.
B. B. The interview: The researcher used to collect the material of folk songs from the mouths of the interviewees, and it was for elderly women, their ages ranged from 60 to 90 years, and they were asked about what they remember of folk songs, and some of them did not remember the whole song.
C. Content analysis: The researcher used the ”content analysis” method to qualitatively analyze the research sample and extract educational contents from popular songs.
Results of the study: The study reached several results, the most important of which are:
1) Folk literature brings us the experiences of the past in a way that calls for us to learn from mistakes and learn from them in our daily lives.
2) Folk literature creates in the hearts of its listeners a love of social participation, helping others in different situations, and sharing their joys and sorrows.
3) Folk literature contributes to creating a culture that works on economy and rationalization for individuals through the economic values it contains.
4) Popular literature calls for responsible freedom and non-injustice, as it calls for equality between people in all their rights.
5) Folk singing contributes to strengthening family relations, so family members gather on occasions to offer congratulations, and he also participates in reciting the song.
