المستخلص Khanka District is one of the nine centers and departments of Qalyubia Governorate. It extends between latitudes 49” 9” 30 º - 47” 17” 30 º north, and longitudes 52” 17” 31º - 56” 24” 31º east, and is located in the southeast of the governorate. The dissertation included five chapters preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion, and a list of sources, references and appendices: The introduction included a definition of the study area, the importance of the study topic and the reasons for choosing it, in addition to the study objectives and methodology. It also provides the data sources, literature review, the difficulties that the researcher faced, and finally the content of the study. The first chapter dealt with the study of ” Child Labor and the Demographic characteristics of Khanka District ” by studying the age structure of the population in the center, then scrutinizing the qualitative and age structure of children (6-18) years in the center, and finally investigating the educational situation and economic structure in the center. The second chapter is entitled ”The Demographic and Social characteristics of the Child Labor Sample”, and addressed the demographic characteristics as far as the age and gender structure of children are concerned. The social characteristics clarified the educational status of the child and his family, the size of the family, the marital status of the child and his order among his siblings. The third chapter is devoted to studying ”The Economic characteristics of the child labor” through the type of child’s work and income, his father’s work and income, as well as the characteristics of the work trip. The fourth chapter presented a study of ”The Factors Affecting Child Labor and its effects. The affecting factors were reported as being social, economic and educational. It also dealt with the effects resulting from child labor in the center, by studying the positive and negative effects. The fifth chapter proposed a ”Futuristic Vision of the Phenomenon of Child Labor in the District” through the measures taken by the state to combat child labor. It also presented global experiences to solve the problem under consideration. The Conclusion offers the most important findings and recommendations of the study. |
