Abstract

This study is conducted to assess the effects of ADSCs on healing of alveolar bone in mice with ligature induced periodontitis.
This study was conducted on seventy-two adult male albino mice. They were divided into three groups fifteen each. group A; (control group), group B; (ligature induced periodontitis) and group C: (ASCs group). Periodontitis was induced in group B and C by using ligature. Ligature was removed after 11 days. ADSCs (2.0 × 106) were suspended in 200 μl phosphate‐buffered saline using a 26‐gauge syringe and injected once in interdental papilla on both the buccal and lingual sides of the mandibular first molar (18) . General behavior of rats of the different groups was measured at regular intervals throughout the time of the experiment.
After the intervals 4 and 8 weeks of the experimental period, animals were sacrificed from the ligatures removals. Mandibles were divided and prepared for histological and scanning electron microscopic evaluations Cone Beam Computed Tomography and Energy Dispersive x-ray analysis.
The difference in histological feature of the alveolar bone healing at 4 and 8 weeks of the different groups at the molar area was examined by light microscope using heamatoxylin and eosin.
