Abstract Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is one of the chief food crops in Egypt and all over the world. It is importance to keep the crop from only loss by controlling the diseases and pests which attack the plants. Stripe rust is one of the most dangerous diseases which affect the grain production of the susceptible cultivars. To elude the significant loss in grain yield, the dynamic of virulence of the causal organism through the identifications of the different physiological races and particularly the new ones to be used in the breeding programs for rust resistance. Therefore, the course of this study was started at this point. Surveying stripe rust disease distribution to identify prevailing Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici, virulence pattern and pathotypes variation. |
