Abstract

Considered grain pests stored one of the most pests dangerous as human involved its food, causing great damage to the country’s economies are inflicting heavy losses on grain and food stored and estimated annual losses in the world as a result of the damage caused by the incidence of these lesions by about five million tons of grain annually. The control of insect pests that attack stored grains and prevent them in all ways is an important and necessary requirement to reduce grain losses to as little as possible. Recently, a new trend began to use nanotechnology as a nano-emulsion for natural essential oils as natural pesticides to control stored grain pests. This technology has characteristics that make it more efficient and faster in performance and specific in the target and less in the quantity used, which means reducing the rates used by the pesticide and increasing the expected economic return. Therefore, nanotechnology is a correct approach to reduce damage caused by insects and reduce the harmful effects of humans and animals that are usually caused by the use of traditional pesticides.
