Abstract Field experiments of the present study were carried out at the experimental farmes of the faculty of Agriculture, (Saba Bacha) and the faculty of Agriculture (El.Shatby), Alexandria University, Egypt, on cotton variety ”Giza 86” during the growing cotton seasons of 2017 and 2019. The objectives of this contributive study were adopted to evaluate the combined effects of: bio-fertilizer as seed dressing by Microbin, three foliar nutrients-: Super Mix, novitrin & potasin –F and three insecticides: Lambda Cyhalothrin 5% (Katron 5%EC®) & Chlorpyrifos 48% ( Pestban 48%EC®), and a bio-pesticide ”Radiant®, for controlling the ”pink and spiny” bollworms on cotton plant, besides determining their integral effects on the cotton yield, yield losses and fiber properties in addition to the estimated effects of these compounds on the activity of protease enzyme and DNA structure. Also, this study aimed to find out the profitable echo-techniques which can be used for scoring high rank of control measures against the bollworms, as well as excluding or minimizing the times and rates of pesticides application in order to limit the possible occurrence of hazardous environmental pollution. The obtained results can be summarized as follow: 1. The integral combined effects of foliar application of mineral and biofertilizers, insecticides and bio-insecticides on the incidence of pink and spiny bollworms infestation. 1.1: Effect on the incidence of pink bollworm infestation 1.1.A. Season 2017 The obtained results elucidate the integral profitable effect of each of the studied treatments, for reducing or coinciding the pink bollworm infestation. The consequent spraying of Novitrin / Super Mix and Novitrin / Radiant® indicated significant lower mean values of pink bollworm infestation (0.03 - 0.09 larvae / 10 bolls ) ,in respect, compaed to the mean value of the untreated control plants, which gave a higher level of infestation, (0.63 larvae / 10 bolls). |
