Abstract Seventy actinomycete isolates were collected from soil rhizospheres, marine sediments and water samples from different locations in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate; Burullus lake, Qallin, Mutubas, Nile river, Kafr El-Sheikh city, Desouk, Biala, El‐Ryad, Fowwah, El-Hamoul, Baltim and Ketshner drain. Several physico-chemical characteristics of abiotic collected samples were investigated. The pH values of all samples were alkaline, except that of Qallin soil (sample no. 8), it was neutral, 7.2. The recorded electrical conductivity (EC) ranged from 9.05 mS/cm in middle Burullus Lake water (sample no. 6) to 0.14 mS/cm in Baltim fish farm water (sample no. 17). Na+ concentration was significantly higher in Burullus Lake water ( from 1723.9 to 1421.8 mg/L) as well as Ryad and Fowwah soil samples (samples no. 20 and 21) were 683.2 and 1618.6 mg/L respectively. In Middle Burullus Lake water (sample no. 6), K+ ions and Mg2+ ions concentration were the highest of about 81.88 mg/L and 116.46 mg/L respectively. Ca2+ ions concentration showed the highest levels in Middle Burullus Lake sediments (sample no. 5) and Desouk soil sample (sample no. 18) of about 1270.33 and 1150.65 mg/L respectively. |
