Abstract Two field experiments were carried out during the summer seasons of 2018 and 2019, at the Experimental Farm of Faculty of Agriculture (Saba- Basha) at Abees area, Alexandria University, Egypt, to study the effect of foliar application of the various levels of both BA as cytokinin and Boron on vegetative growth, yield, and quality of ’ Hermes’ potato cultivar. The treatments were distributed in experimental randomized complete block design (RCBD) as follows: Control (sprayed with tap water) 10 mg/l (boron) 20 mg/l (boron) 30 mg/l (boron) 10 mg/l (20 mg/l (cytokinen) 20 mg/l (cytokinen) 30 mg/l (cytokinen) 10 mg/l (boron)+10 mg/l (cytokinen) 10 mg/l (boron)+20 mg/l (cytokinen) 10 mg/l (boron)+30 mg/l (cytokinen) 20 mg/l (boron)+10 mg/l (cytokinen) 20 mg/l (boron)+20 mg/l (cytokinen) 20 mg/l (boron)+30 mg/l (cytokinen) 30 mg/l (boron)+10 mg/l (cytokinen) 30 mg/l (boron)+20 mg/l (cytokinen) 30 mg/l (boron)+30 mg/l (cytokinen) The obtained results could be summarized as follow: 5.1. Growth characters Folia application of B-levels significantly affected potato growth parameters (number . of stems per plant, No. of leaves per plant, plant height, plant fresh and dry weight) and recorded the highest values with B30 mg.l-1., foliar application of the highest level of cytokine at 30 mg.l-1 gave the highest mean values of potato growth parameters during both seasons. The combined treatment between boron at 30 mg/L and cytokinin at 30mg/L, achieved the highest average values of a for mentioned growth characters, compared to other treatments, in both seasons. |
