Abstract Diabetes mellitus is a global emerging disease with progressive incidence worldwide. Diabetic patients have a higher incidence of PUD than the non-diabetic population which increased prevalence of GIT symptom and susceptibility to acute gastric injury and impaired ulcer healing. Management of DM usually involves the treatment of concurrent peptic ulcer. Omeprazole is one of the drugs that can be co-administered with gliclazide in patients with DM for treatment of peptic ulcer with the possibility of drug-drug interaction between them So, diabetic patients treated with oral antidiabetic drugs, as gliclazide, may be also treated with antipeptic ulcer drugs, as omeprazole. |
