Abstract This study was done to find out the incidence, associated risk factors and outcome of acute kidney injury in neonatal sepsis. We enrolled total 100 neonates with sepsis, were evaluated for presence of AKI or not .Sepsis was diagnosed on the basis of either a positive sepsis or a positive culture in symptomatic neonates. AKI was categorized based on RIFLE criteria into; risk, injury and failure groups. AKI occurred in 48% neonates with sepsis. Positive blood culture with Klebsiella and presence of DIC were significant predictors for the development of AKI in neonatal sepsis |
