Abstract
Sinusitis in its simplest form is an inflammation of the sinuses mucous membrane. It is a common case in medical field, affects manypeople all over the world and its prevalence is raising.The concepts ofsinusitis and its management have undergone tremendous changes.Several hypotheses tried to explain olfactory affection in patients with CRS. Odorants may be physically blocked by hypertrophied mucosa and thus prevented from reaching the olfactory epithelium.Another theory is that there is edema of the neuro-epithelium preventing neural signals generation
