Abstract
This thesis consists of four chapters. First chapter is an introduction covering some nontraditional techniques for pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidinessynthesis, followed by the cytotoxic activity of pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidines.The second chapter shows the objectives of the work, the rational design of the target compounds and the Schemes designed for the preparation of the target compounds.The third chapter consists of the theoretical discussion of the experimental work, results of biological investigation of the newly synthesized compounds and the discussion of the molecular modeling results.The fourth chapterinvolves the experimental part of the thesis which contains the detailed procedures used for the synthesis of the target compounds and intermediates, in addition to the physical properties, element analysis and spectral data of the synthesized compounds. Moreover, it includes the methodologyfollowed for the in vitro biological assaysof the synthesized compounds, in addition to the molecular docking stepsof the most potent compound XIV
