Abstract Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of low level laser versus trunk stabilizing exercises on sternotomyhealing postcoronary artery bypass graft (CABG)surgery.Subjects &Methods: Forty five male patientswho hadearlysternal instability post CABG surgerywith age ranged from 45-65 yearswere divided randomly into three equal groups (each, n = 15).group ”A” received low level laser therapy (LLLT)while group ”B” received trunk stabilizing exercises. group ”C” (control group)received only routine cardiac rehabilitation programwhich also applied for both groups ”A” and ”B”. Sternal separation,median sternotomy photographic analysis, pain and activities of daily life(ADL) performancewere used to evaluate patients at two intervals (pre-treatment and post-treatment).This study was carried out from March to August 2018at National Heart Institute |
