Abstract This work was focused to study the effect of some physical and chemical properties on the soil electrical resistivity and to follow up the change in the electrical soil resistivity, accompanied by some management processes. For this purpose three Farms were selected to represent different soil types: Western Experimental Farm at Giza and Wadi El Natrun Experimental Farm at El Behiera (Faculty of Agriculture Research station, Cairo University ), and Abu Rawash private farm. The four electrode Wenner vertical electrical sounding (VES) array was applied to monitor an irrigation cycle in both alluvial soil (western experimental farm at Giza) ans sandy farm (Abu-Rawash). Two methods of data acquisition (i.e. 1D and 2D) were applied in order to monitor the changes of soil electrical resistivity throughout an irrigation cycle. Apparent Resistivity reading were recorded before irrigation and at different periods after irrigation (1,3,5.7.9,11,13 and 15 Days). The moisture content , bulk density , and soil salinity were also recorded |
