Abstract Ankle impingement is defined as a painful mechanical limitation of full ankle range of motion secondary to an osseous or soft-tissue abnormality. Our study included 20 patients, for whom we had plain radiography, ultrasound and MRI examinations to summarize our study The commonest cause of bony impingement was bony spurs/ osteophytes. The commonest cause of posterior bony impingement was Os trigonum, X-ray was significant in detection of anterior bony andantero lateral bony impingement cases X-ray and ultrasonography can be used in detection of posterior bony impingement Ultrasonography can be used in detection of Postero medial bone impingement |
