Abstract

Abstract The present study was conducted to compare the retentive force of frameworks made of PEEK, acetal and Co-Cr on an experimental model kennedy class III by using UTM. On an acrylic experimental model of kennedy class III, twelve frameworks of unilateral partial denture were made from three different materials, where four frameworks per each group. Frameworks were standardized with Aker clasps in undercut 0.01inch , the clasps were made of ready made wax pattern of 1mm thickness. Results of this study showed significant difference in the retention values between the frameworks made from Co-Cr and those of both the acetal and PEEK, where Co-Cr frameworks showed higher retention than of both the acetal and PEEK
