Abstract Purpose: To investigate the influence of soft CL in the IOP measurements by ORA, to determine out of IOPg and IOPcc which one is less affected by the presence of CL andto study changes in corneal hysteresis (CH) and corneal resistance factor (CRF) with and without soft CL wearing. Design: Prospective, comparative, non-interventional study. Participants: thisstudy included sixty eyes of thirty normal subjects with no history of previous contact lens wearing. Intervention: Goldmann correlated intraocular pressure (IOPg), corneal compensated intraocular pressure (IOPcc), corneal hysteresis (CH) and corneal resistance factor (CRF)were measured in all subjects without any ocular pathology, using ORA. One eye was fitted with Senofilcon A (Acuvue Oasys, Johnson & Johnson) (group A) and the other eye with Etafilcon A (Acuvue Moist, Johnson & Johnson) (group B), each with -3.00D then +3D contact lens. IOPg, IOPcc, CH and CRF were again measured over CL. The variation in the IOP with and without CL was determined. Main Outcome: was to detect and analyse changes in IOPg and IOPcc with and without soft CL wearing. Secondary outcomes: to detect and analyse changes in CH and CRH with and without soft CL wearing |
