Purpose: to evaluate the effect of aerobic exercise on portal venous system on splenectomised patients. Methods: 30 male patients with splenectomy at least 6/months ago were divided into two equal groups. Group(A) received aerobic exercise (run on treadmill) for 20 minutes with 10 degree of inclination at 6km/h speed. Group(B) received traditional treatment (encourage range of motion, coughing technique and ambulation), three sessions per week, for 4weeks. Results: result showed that aerobic exercise had a prohibit effect on portal venous system in splenectomised patients as evidenced by the significant decrease on splenic blood flow, decrease portal vein diameter and increase blood viscosity in the study group only Conclusion: aerobic exercise had a prohibit effect on portal venous system in splenectomised patients
